Judy Livingston

Judy Livingston is an artist, graphic designer, and recently retired professor of design from Alfred University.

Judy has an affinity for the expressive energy that comes from the activity of painting. This is combined with a love of watercolors for their translucency, fluidity, and knowing that, quite often, the best things that happen in a painting are when the watercolors speak for themselves. Her painting process is a lively choreography with the materials and the composition. The principles and elements of design are her language of vision.

Judy also owns and operates a graphic design studio, Good Work Good Cause. Her work is dedicated to the strategic and creative design process to promote positive change. Judy brings to every project the vast experience, management, and leadership skills from working with a wide range of cultural institutions, commercial enterprises, and community service organizations.

Judy received her MFA from Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Gallery IANG in Seoul, South Korea, the Rotonda della Besana in Milan, Italy, and the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo) in Rochester, New York.
