Jacqueline Fegan

Pastel and Oil Artist

Jacqueline Fegan is an artist who draws her inspiration from the beauty of upstate NY
and SW Florida. Her love of nature is captured in pastels and oils. She is a member of
Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters, Pastel Society of Western New York, Southwest
Florida Pastel Society, and Rochester Art Club.

Artist Statement

I love hiking near creeks and streams. The sound of the water tumbling over rocks, the
reflections of the trees and sky, and the changing light filtered by clouds touches my
soul. Many of my paintings embody my love of nature.

Whether I am working plein air with pastels or in my studio painting large canvases in oil,
I start with an abstract of shapes and colors. I paint loose, capturing a feeling rather than
rendering detail.
