David Burke · Featured Artist Opening Reception

oin us Friday, June 12 from 6–8pm as Railroad Street Artworks celebrates our June Featured Artist, David Burke — a Bergen-based acrylic painter and sculptor whose work moves between the natural world and something more quietly mysterious, rich with color and full of presence.
David’s paintings resist easy categories. Landscapes and nature subjects anchor much of his work, but there’s often something beneath the surface — a symbolic undercurrent, an unexpected stillness — that rewards a longer look. It’s the kind of work that pulls you in and keeps you there.
A graduate of SUNY Brockport’s BFA program, David has received multiple state grants through the Genesee-Orleans Regional Arts Council (GOART!) for murals and public art across Genesee and Orleans counties. He is a member of the Batavia Society of Artists, Brockport Artists Guild, Rochester Contemporary Arts Center, and The Yards Collective at Rochester Public Market.
