Castles in Watercolor — session 2 of 3

From fantasy castles to European ruins, Castles capture our imagination! Join Toi Clawson to explore painting Castles from other lands. We will work on textures and backgrounds, including skies, foliage, stonework, and roofs. There’s a world of color and exploration awaiting as we take a journey to capture the essence of Castles. Participants provide their own watercolors, brushes, and paper. Toi will explain the supplies she recommends in the first class.
Recommended supplies —
- Cotman or Winsor & Newton palettes
- Round brushes: 3, 6, or 8
- 3 sheets of Canson or Arches (Cold Press) watercolor paper (9″ x 12″)
- A liner and shader brushes are optional
Meet Toi Clawson
Toi Clawson is a local Calligrapher and Watercolor artist. Her artwork has been featured in Calligraphy Review and other national magazines, and her calligraphy is in the Speedball Textbook. She has taught both children and adults for several decades in the Fairport area. She relishes teaching and always learns new things from her students!
